"Re-review - Quality Not As High As Expected" 04/01/12

This is a re-review after 9 months of ownership. The shoes still feel great with a comfortable fit and good cushion. I've enjoyed hiking in these shoes. However about the 6 month mark of only moderate use I started to see the shoe come apart. Cracks in the sole and fraying of the fabric. Really not the quality level I expected from a brand like La Sportiva. Knowing what I know now, I will probably not buy this shoe again.

"Great Fit, Great Support, Great Shoe" 08/23/11

I love this shoe. I recently transitioned from luxury backpacking to endurance, distance, lightweight hiking. These shows have been perfect for that pursuit. They are lightweight enough to feel keep me going but have enough support for my 15-20 lb pack. The wave bottom really seems to grip roots and whatever else is on the trail. I've put about 50 miles on them and they seem to be holding up strong. I would recommend buying at least 1/2 size larger than usual.
