"I work on my feet all day long in a hospital. I come home and put on these boots (breaking them in)."
I love these boots! I have been through a number of boots. I am breaking in the Omegas right now. They have been great. I went RUNNING in them just to see how they would do...zero hot-spots...felt light and stayed dry. I live in Western Oregon so dry is a must. I was happy that they were not too hot. They are surprisingly comfortable. My Mistral rock climbing shoes (La Sportiva) are 42's I settled on 44's for this boot for a good fit with REI's version of a Smartwool midweight hiking sock. The only thing I don't like is the orange accents. But since when was color the deciding factor? Maybe if you only get hiking gear to wear to a mall so people will think you are active when really you only like malls. Maybe then the color might throw you. This is the most comfortable boot I've worn. Check out the Backpacker magazine review. If you don't like the orange borrow a black Sharpie for a quick fix. Oh, the toe box is very agile and the rest of the sole has great support. Great investment!
