"Best Beginner Shoe on the Market" 11/28/10
La Sportiva is a more expensive brand than some, but well worth the extra green. These shoes are perfect for any new beginner, or intermediate climber who prefer comfort but efficient grip. I didn't know much about the shoe market before a friend picked the Arco out for me, but looking back now, I don't think I would have chosen any other shoe to be my first with my current knowledge base. This shoe is the one. Get it! You won't regret it!
"Great pair of shoes" 06/04/10
I wear a womens size 10 normally and went with a size 40.5 and the fit is perfect! These shoes are great! I've used them at the gym and they made me feel like spiderman! Plus, they turn your tootsies a nice pink color when you're done :)
"Excellent shoes for climbing beginners" 11/13/09
I was looking for a good first pair of shoes for my adventures at a local rock climbing gym. While I did enjoy the $4 rentals of smelly climbing shoes, I decided that I would ask around and try to find a quality pair of shoes for a good price. La Sportiva was hands-down a fan favorite for many, and after browsing a few blog posts on basic climbing shoe selection, I ended up with the Arcos. These shoes have a great fit, form well to the feet, and make your feet a nice neon pink color after heavy use. I went with 1.5 shoe sizes smaller than my street shoe size, and it took me about 15 trips until my toes stopped hurting so much. Very well made and a great climbing and bouldering shoe.
