The Kuhl Men's Rydr Pant are much tougher than the denim in your closet, delivering a round house kick to the face of any opponents. I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris broke these in himself. Once you put them on you will instantly recognize the anatomical design which follows the natural shape and curves of your body, providing the ultimate in fit and comfort. Kuhl took the 'classic pant' with the standard 5 pocket design and stylized it with a vintage patina dye and river wash giving these Rydr Pants a rugged, well worn look. They added a stealth pocket for your cell phone and reinforced the pockets and cuffs, guaranteeing these bad boys will stay alive and well for years to come. The gusseted crotch and articulated knees give amazing freedom of movement for increased comfort and are cut generously in the thigh to offer unbeatable, unrestricted movement.

My husband loves these pants! Says they fit better than any others he has ever had. Uses them as work pants around the house. Best place to order from...not tax fast shipping..bought Monday and received today (Wednesday).
Don't use these for rock-climbing if you plan to do any kind of knee-barring. I tore mine up within a month of wearing them outside climbing on southeastern sandstone. To be fair, I'm not sure they're designed for rock climbing. But, they are pants made by an outdoors manufacturer that makes other pants for rock climbing so I thought I'd give them a try. I would have just kept wearing them to the office for a while, but I didn't read the washing instructions and I scuffed and marked them up by not turning them inside out the first few times I washed them.Nice looking pants, but you're better off saving these for office/casual pants.
"Amazingly comfortable but the dye is streaky"
These pants are absolutely great. A heavyweight pant most useful for fall/winter weather or doing light work outdoors. They offer the usual custom Kuhl fit that you will fall in love with if you purchase this company's pants BUT....as others have pointed out the dye can be streaky when washing. You have to be very very careful to get a somewhat natural looking pair of pants after washing. Cold only, inside out, no whiteners in your detergent, and only with like colors! Otherwise the results are lackluster with their vintage patina dye. Other than that these are a regular in my Kuhl arsenal.
"Great pants but be careful washing them"
These pants look great and have all the nice touches - articulated knees, gusseted crotch and reinforced in areas that typically see a lot of wear and tear. They are comfy, loose and allow nice freedom of movement. I haven't used them outside for climbing yet because they look so damn nice. Well, they did until I washed them that is.I didn't realize they have special washing instructions, so I just threw them in the washer with everything else like I normally do. Now they have white streaks. Apparently you are supposed to turn them inside out when washing, but others have complained that doesn't totally prevent streaks. Maybe washing them on a gentle cycle would solve the problem? To me this is a design flaw - people aren't going to remember to turn them inside out every washing. So, they don't get a 5-star rating, but a 4-star instead. I could probably return them, but I'll probably use them outdoors and they'll get all scuffed up anyway so I'll just keep 'em.
2nd pair in espresso, 4th overall. Although the fabric is thick (wouldn't want to wear these in the heat) and stiff and noisy when you move, they are simply very comfortable and stylish and take a beating.
My job shreds clothes, pants particularly. Grabbed pair of these and they're holding up extremely well to the abuse. Got the khaki-ish color and they blend in reasonably well at my facility, might not work as well if you're an office dweller. Very nicely reinforced.
These pants are the reason why I don't like wearing jeans anymore. I was originally put off by the high price of these but gave them a shot anyways. I love how strong the material is in these pants, plus I'm a fan of how much room is provided in the crotch and thigh area. The slit pocket in the side of these pants is perfect for holding my iPhone as well, it's a neat feature I feel they don't advertise. If you don't have a smart phone though you could put an ice cream sandwich in there I suppose.
"perfect pants for your outdoor adventures. i got the espresso color"
I was looking for a pant for mtn biking. I was shy at first given the price but these are now my favorite pants. The articulated knees are awesome! The fabric is durable and sharp looking. The patina is really cool. The black on these pants has started to fade from use and show brown through from the inside, making for a neat weathered look. The reinforced pockets are weird. The extra fabric makes it difficult to carry a pocket knife with a clip by far the biggest draw back for me. Otherwise the fit is great and comfy. These pants will hold up for a long time. Just don't let these get wet, they take a long time to dry but that is expected of a cotton pant.
These pants are comfortable and well built. They are reinforced and will stand up to some abuse. The design and cut of these are the really important part though, with the crotch gusset for better freedom of movement and the Athletik fit with larger diameter legs for guys with large thighs and calves. Hiking and climbing leads to large legs, which makes it hard to find pants that fit. These do the trick and they look pretty decent too.
