The Kuhl Men's Parachute Jak is a packable rain jacket for staying dry out on the dusty trail. Or muddy trail. The 100% nylon Pertex® Shield fabric is 2.5 layer, providing your upper half with waterproof/breathable protection. It's ridiculously lightweight, packing down into it's personal stuff sack so you can keep it close by in your backpack, briefcase, or messenger bag, without taking up too much space. You can even attach it to your belt! Regardless of where you keep it, it'll be there when the rain comes, with a cinch-able hood for protecting your meticulously styled hair. Yes, I know you style your hair when hiking the backcountry.

The tits! So far...I wanted a lightweight outer shell with minimal branding, waterproof material, and a good aesthetic that looked like it would last a while, and this fit the bill. I'm 6'0, 180lbs and bought the small size in pirate blue. The fit and color are excellent, and even in a small it layers over a tee and ultra light down jacket well. It packs small in its included stuff sack with webbing to attach to a backpack or wear on a belt for easy, hardly obtrusive access. I have yet to test it in any rain or harsh environment, nor have I had it long enough to judge its longevity, but I feel confident it will perform well.
