Rated 5 out of 5 by from So warm, so durable! Sleeping at about 65F with a normal comforter I tend to like sleeping a little colder, but that just for reference. I feel nice an cozy in this bag down to 30F - sleeping in a hammock, wearing a base layer with an under quilt underneath the hammock. I don't think I would go far below that temperature without other improvements like taking a warm bottle of water into the bag. I can see how you can stay warmer in a tent. Main additional features are the waterproof and more durable ends, which are supposed to be the protective layer between you and the wet tent walls. It serves another purpose for me as hammock camper since I can just put on the bag being outside of the hammock while standing up. Nothings gets wet or wears out, which is a game changer if you know how awkward it can be to get into a sleeping bag while in a hammock. I'd buy it again :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag at this price point, compresses very small and does the job. I used this bag recently on a two-night campout with scouts during which the overnight temps dropped to 26º and 20º respectively. I slept in typical synth long underwear, socks, and a beanie. Admittedly not a torture test for this bag, but it performed better than I hoped it would. I fell asleep bordering on too-warm, and was comfortably warm all thru the night as temps dropped.,,,,I am 6'4" 205 lbs, and the long bag fits me well. I am a side sleeper and was able to roll over within the bag easily. I don't know why but I tend to do that rather than just letting the bag roll with me.,,,,No cold spots to speak of. I found the zipper to be very slightly finicky, but really not a problem. Hood and collar drawstrings were easy to operate in the dark, as one is flat and the other is round. There was not an opportunity to test the water-resistance of the head and foot treatments, but with the combination of the dri-down and that external coating I don't see any reason to be concerned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag for the Price Used this bag several times in the past couple months and it is awesome. Very comfortable, keeps you extremely warm, and very compressible. I was out using this in 0 degree weather a couple nights and it held up well! While the other guys I was with froze at night, I stayed nice and warm for a good night's sleep.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great features for the price i really like the water proof toe and hood on this bag, keeps you dry where you touch the tent. has a nice long zipper that makes getting in and out a breeze and its super warm. I got the long and there is plenty of room for my 5' 10" self and the Boston terrier that sleeps at my feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for my 13 year old boy scout Preparing gear for many shorter AT hikes and a two week backpacking trip at Philmont, I needed a warm water-repellant down bag that was versatile, durable and price savvy. This Kelty fits perfectly for a range of treks. It lofts well and easily packs into its stuff sack.
