its bright. easy to hang places. sturdy. little heavy but its a lantern, deal.i like this little lantern. it was brighter than expected but it does have 2 settings. been taking it to the beach for when we watch the sunset and don't want to leave right away. the little hook on top latches to my beach chair and sheds enough like for all of us to finish our drinks and gather up our stuff. i haven't thrown it off a cliff but it does seem sturdy and can take a beating of being dropped in the sand. i only question its weight. if you are a stickler on weight management, its on the fence. i would bring it if fires were not allowed and needed ambient light. overall it solid

Nice, but smallI should have looked at the specs to see what size it was. Smaller than what I was thinking.
