DecentI wish I could try out other brand name kid carriers to compare this to them. We just tried this pack out in Glacier for 3 days. Did 11.6 miles with it. The pack was uncomfortable after about 6 miles. After the hike my hips and shoulders were bruised, still are 3 days later. The sun visor is pretty decent, but Kelty has no good solution for this pack and your precious cargo, once they rain comes. We improvised with a child poncho that we had to stuff in and through. The pack had good, but not great storage space. It's nice that it is hydration compatible, but even that compartment is too small. The water bottle compartment on the hip belt is the perfect slot for bear spray. I guess I'd recommend the pack for short day hikes, but not a full day hike. I also don't feel like you get your money's worth for how expensive the pack is.
