The Kelty Cosmic 0 Sleeping Bag is a down sleeping bag for taking on nights of cold, wet weather. Stuffed inside the 50D down proof polyester ripstop shell is 600 fill power DriDown™, insulation that has been specially treated to resist moisture. Concentrate on sleeping by staying warm and toasty inside the bag, instead of worrying about the cold and any tent condensation trying to ruin your night. The 60 inch zipper allows easy entry/exit as well as quick cooling if the night heats up, while a draft tube with antisnag design won't get in the way when you need to exit the bag quickly. Included with the bag is a stuff sack, for packing down small and placing at the bottom of your pack before moving on.

Hi, it says best use camping- is this an okay bag for expedition/backpacking? In a pinch to get a 0 degree for a trip and already over budget. This is the best price for 0 degree down on the market so should I consider?

Asked by: Jess
Hiya Jess, thanks for your question! Yes, I would consider this bag as an option! My only concern would be weight. This bag (regular size) weighs 3 lb, 9 oz, which might be too much, especially when you add the sleeping pad. (And you will absolutely need a sleeping pad in 0 degree temperatures!) The synthetic insulation is what keeps the price down, but it is about a pound or more heavier than a down filled bag. If weight isn't an issue for you, go for it! Hope this helps!

What size zipper does this bag have?

Asked by: devo
Hey Devo, Thanks for your question. The zipper is a #7. 7 is the best number. I was born on a 7. That's gotta be lucky or something, right?
