"Well-made shoe with needed waterproof feature" 12/22/12
I shopped around about a half dozen stores for a good pair of hiking shoes. Came across this pair of Keen's and selected it over the Merrill Sight because of the additional waterproof feature. Shoe provides great traction on slippery slopes and is durable so far.
"Nothing compares." 08/17/12
I started wearing Keen shoes five years ago. Before Keen my feet hurt to the point that I had a hard time walking. The Targhee ll is the best. Keen H2O are the Bomb too. Get them here while you can. Thanks Moosejaw.
"Great, Lightweight, Waterproof Shoe" 01/13/12
This shoe is great, its very light, which is nice compared to some other clunky boots. They're completely waterproof and i've definitely tested that out. They look to be a little wider which is nice for people with a little bigger foot like mine, and also adds some more surface area for climbing a little more......vertical path! Love em!
"Great for light hiking or everyday kickin it!" 01/02/12
Santa left me a pair of these under the tree...smart man! Excellent for light hiking or just everyday foul weather. I based the shoe size on my running/trail running shoes rather than casual work type shoe size and the size was perfect. Super comfortable!
"Great shoe for all situations" 12/26/11
Although a college student, I find time to go backpacking at least twice a month. I would not take any other shoe but the Targhee II. Very lightweight for its durability and excellent waterproofing that has stood up to many hikes through mud, creeks, and rainstorms - always keeping my feet dry and breathing incredibly. I also wear these shoes around campus and find them the most comfortable shoes to walk in no matter what the conditions or the time of year. If you are on the fence about this shoe, don't think for another second. They will last you for years if you take care of them, making their durability better than any other shoe out there of comparable price and characteristics.
"These shoes are The hiking shoe to get. Waterproof. Shock absorbent. Heel+Ankle support. Bad Ass." 10/24/11
When I sought out my new hiking shoes, I looked specifically for a sturdy waterproof shoe with good ankle support. After trying on a bunch of shoes I found a solid shoe that was not only what I was looking for but was comfortable to wear. The leather obviously takes a while to break in. The back strap ankle and heel support made the shoe very stable and I tore through the Black Hills in my new Keens! I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone who not only wants to trek out and adventure, but look damn good doing it too.
"great shoes" 06/30/11
I use these for sailing and absolutely love them. It drains water freely, and doesn't hurt my feet after two hours of sailing. The only cons are I feel they are a little loose and I have to cinch the strings tight and they aren't the most stylish with the big black rubber toe guard (but it works). Would definitely buy this shoe again.
"Comfortable shoe... some construction flaws" 06/18/11
I have had these for just under a year now, and have been pleased with how they performed. They are really comfortable (awesome wide toebox), and the rubber toecap is a plus! I have used these for everyday wear and for a dayhike here and there. The waterproof liner works great and have kept my feet dry on many occasions... my only complaint is the lack of durability on the sole (the right, front, inside cleats have separated from the midsole). I submitted a claim to keen this weekend and hopefully they will replace them! overall great shoe! good buy
"Excellent all around shoe-" 03/19/11
These keens are great shoes. I have worn a pair out hitting the trails of Costa Rica and walking the streets of Europe. Perfect all around shoe from trail to city. Comfortable, watertight, good grip and great support. I tend to go through a pair of these a year. When I trade them out the primary surface wear is on the soles. The tops are still solid (beaten and bruised but still stitched together) while the soles are worn through and nearly slick.
"Very confortable shoes, but the color is a little "off"" 10/28/10
These are my 6th pair of Keen hiking shoes and they are very comfortable, as usual! Like most Keens, they run a little small so I would suggest that you order a half size or full size up from what you'd normally wear. My only (minor) complaint is that the picture makes these look like they're sort of a like charcoal color. In reality they are MUCH closer to being brown with a little tinge of green.
"Awesome" 10/23/10
Amazingly comfortable. I've had mine for several years now and wore them to work nearly everyday. The proprietary Keen-dry lining seems to do the job too. I live in what must be the slush capital of the country and have never had a problem with water getting in yet they breathe excellently. They tend to run a little small, maybe 1/2 size.
