My wife, my daughter we all got a pair! They are great and very comfterable. The only activity I've found they just don't work for is horseback riding, damn horse steps on my heel everytime!

"comfortable, wicked good shoe" 		          06/01/09
these are hiking boots with air conditioning. uppers are waterproof leather with a soft inner lining. foot bed is a soft suede-like material. but, these ARE hiking boots so you gotta break 'em in. give them a few days around town, get 'em wet once or twice and then they are supremely comfortable and ready for the trail, not before. i wear a 10 1/2, the 11 fits great. very roomy toebox, good cushion in the sole and though the tread isn't all that aggressive, the rubber compound is relatively soft so the shoe sticks well to pavement, rocks, grass... they dry out pretty quickly too. best hiking sandal I have.

"We will see about future catastropic failures" 		          05/22/09
Trauma ensued upon my first putting the sandal on. The fastening lines broke with the first pull. This tragic, if not counseling provoking incident brought about the silver lining to this cloud. By far the greatest part of this epic tale is that the store gurus fixed it right away when I returned and promised replacement parts and road side assistance if needed. Couch time avoided- Ourah!

"Great sandals" 		          05/04/09
I am a great fan of Keen and have about five or six pairs (so do my wife and son). I just got them this spring as an upgrade from Keen Tijuana I had for the last two years. I was concerned with the size b/c Keens' seem to size down. I normally wear 9.5 and this was the only size in stock. I got it, and O Miracle, it fit just fine, while my other Keen's are a nice feet in size 10. What I like is that Aegis coating which repels smell (it was a disaster with Tijuana) and just overall look. They are very comfy and should last for two-three seasons no problem. My only question is why New Charcoal would actually turn to be Green?

"They're comfy, but not for sensitive feet." 		          07/09/08
These sandals are overall super comfortable! I got them because I have hot feet. After wearing them though, my feet were still hot. There is so much neoprene-like material pushed against my skin all the time. The other thing is the left one is a little deformed at the toes. I have to see if I can get them replaced, but who has the time. I'm pretty sure this is why it pushes down on my foot a lot, and caused a very serious problem with my foot. I couldn't walk for a week! The souls are incredibly comfortable though. I'm sure anybody getting a pair of these that are not deformed, and has normal foot temperatures would just love them! One more thing. They say they're odor free, but that's total

"Get the Bison color..." 		          06/20/08
I returned these thank you Moosejaw free return label -- awesome customer service for a couple of reasons... First the color Charcoal did not look as good in hand as it did online - kind of greenish... Secondly, the reviews of other Moosejaw customers suggested these tend to end up not being as comfortable in areas where small rocks may get into the shoe and become trapped in the toe cap.

"rock trapper, slippery, stinky, but also very handy" 		          04/14/08
I've worn the heck out of these things for a year. I think they're great. But these are the honest draw backs they do trap rocks--you have to stop a lot when in rocky water, if your feet are a little oily or funky--consider these an olfactory amplifier, zero traction--zero--I nearly killed myself cliff jumping in Thailand because of the poor traction. So, some problems, but still a great little shoe.

"Check out the fit and finish before you call them keepers." 		          04/08/08
Great fit, great toe protection. Sole wears out before uppers, even with every day wear. So they still look good to the very end, right. This pair recently ordered the Right fit perfectly, the Left was defectively constructed smaller toe box due to raised footbed, scuffed leather and loose-ended stitching. Another pair fit fine and looked great.

"Bad experiance..." 		          03/30/08
I wore these all around zions and in the narrows last summer. In the river they did great except they trap rocks in the toe and its a real pain pickin em out EVERY second. Not good in sand at all, sock or no sock. Unfortunately i got the grey brown colr and it all faded out after using them in the river. One more thing, the odor is hard to keep away, retains foot stench very well, and my feet dont usually stink!
