The Julbo Explorer Sunglasses are mountaineering sunglasses for eye protection in the high altitude. The brave mountaineers heading to high camp and pushing for summit require a special sort of eye care, as you're so much more susceptible to the harmful sun rays, glare and reflection. Available in three types of lenses, all are capable of providing the protection you need to keep your eyeballs safe. The close-fitting frame vent through the front and feature removable wings so you can adjust your protection as well as a removable strap. The 360° adjustable temples allow you to dial in the fit, whether you're putting 'em on under a beanie, helmet, or just alone. They're also grippy so they stay put, but not too sticky, so they won't grab onto your hairs. Heads up, folks! The Spectron 4 and Alti Arc 4 lens versions are not suitable for driving. So dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want the best look no further. These glasses fit perfectly. They fit snug to your face and let no light in. The lens area itself has a more oval shape and they fit snug up against the eye sockets, allowing almost no overhead sun light to penetrate the eyes. ,,,,The venting is exceptional. I have yet to fog these glasses. The neck leash if beefy, with a rubber cinch loop. Plus built in hooks that snap into the back of the ear pieces.,,,,I’ve had these now for about a month and cannot say enough good things about them. The Camel version the only way to go. Whether you’re an avid outdoors man or a weekend warrior you can rest assured you will not be disappointed with these glasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fell in Love with Glasses This was my first pair of glasses that I didn't buy for 20$ at CVS from their rack.,,I'm going on a big trek in a month or so, so wanted some good glasses to cut the glare while ice climbing, and dogsledding.,,Now, I haven't gone on the adventure yet... but as soon as I put these on, I loved them (And promptly threw my old pair away). Fit great (I'm a larger guy), and everything appears very clean and crisp through them. Good coverage around the eyes, and great sun blocking. Despite that, you still don't want to look at the sun.,,Long story short, B-A glasses, I'll actually be wearing them a lot, not just going up north.,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit for med/small heads, nice and dark, fogs easily with the guards on These glasses are great for snow! I have the white spectron version and they seem pretty scratch resistant, very dark and quite comfortable. I have a pretty small head and usually glasses are too big for me. With a slight adjustment to the bendable arm tips, these fit me perfectly!,,,,The strap that comes with the glasses works perfectly and so do the removable guards.,,,,One complaint is that the glasses seem to fog pretty easily when the guards are on. Also, the included case is way to big to bring on a trip to the mountain.,,,,Overall these are a great pair of glacier glasses!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Ocular Shielding Device I bought these when my Oakleys crapped out on me. I use these pretty much every day. I live in Northern Maine, and the glare of the snow can be pretty intense. These serve admirably whether snowshoeing in the backcountry, dogsledding, pretty much anytime you're outside between dawn and dusk. They don't even interfere with shooting. The wrap around effect keeps the sun and snow completely out of your eyes. I don't even use the optional side shields. They look a bit weird, but if you're concerned that much about style, you're probably not in the market for glasses like this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hope you have a small head This things are nice and keep you from getting blind on an ice slope, but they make your ears look like dumbo ears. The arms of the glasses are very short and if you have even a medium sized head, the chances are great that the back of your ears will get sore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I reccomend it When I was choosing a sunglasses at the end I look on Julbo Explorer but with two different glasses. Mineral - Alti Arc 4 Plus and Polycarbonate Spectron 4. Main differences is that first is scratch - resistant, second impact -resistant. To my mind mineral glasses more convenient but they can be only in black frames. So I choose design instead of scratch -resistance becouse I would like white frame. Total this is a great sunglasses which do its work. I bought them for climbing on Elbrus summit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Goofy, But Awesome. People will make jokes about these cause they are different from their standard issue Coastas, aviators or their Mickey Mouse Ray-Bans, but they will always ask where you got them and wish they had the confidence to branch out. These shades block sun like an eclipse! They seem a little bug eyed (more like goggles) and would suit snowboarders and skiers very nicely. However, here in the Southeast, they seem a little out place, but I love them nonetheless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best glasses I have used. These are the best glacier glasses i have ever owned and I have owned quite a few. Perhaps not quite as trendy as other julbo glasses but hey, high up in the mountains it is a matter of substance over style. I especially like how these glasses minimize light entering through the sides and below the eyes. Much better than other glasses and with no fogging either. Used them on Cho Oyu this year and will be first packed for E in a couple of months.
