The Julbo Colorado Sunglasses are classic mountaineering glasses meets modern wrap glasses. Here you'll get the best of both worlds, the leather shields of the past blended with a plastic frame that wraps gently with a not-so-round lens. The shields block sun from the peripheries and are removable as you get to lower points on the elevation. Spectron 4 lenses protect against super harsh sunlight and UV rays that can seriously damage your eyes, so don't remove them high up on the mountain. Finished off with 360° temples, you'll get the fit you want, regardless of your current headwear and they're just grippy enough to stay put, without pulling your hair.
FEATURES of the Julbo Colorado Sunglasses
Total Cover: Maximum protection in extreme conditions against harsh sunlight
Leather Shields: Symbol of glacier sunglasses, leather covers protect generations of mountain enthusiasts
360° Adjustable Temples: Stem ends bend in every direction, easy to wear and good hold when worn with helmet, beanie or simply alone
Grip Tech: Soft comfort exclusive material on the temples that doesn't stick to hair, giving perfect hold and comfort

Great glasses, more modern look. This is my other favorite pair of glacier glasses. (a close tie with my Julbo micropore old-school round style). These have the common Julbo attributes of super glear lenses and quality materials for real climbing use, are lighter, have a more modern look, and the lenses are HUGE so you have better peripheral vision. You look a bit like a preying mantis with giant bug eyes, but you can see all around you, and find that hold you might otherwise miss. Pretty worthwhile. Note: these are DARK DARK DARK like all real glacier glasses. Too dark for driving. If you have very long lashes, you will find yourself occasionally smearing the lenses with them, but that's true of all wrap-around sunglasses.

An Amazing Bang for your BuckThese glasses are as advertised and an amazing bang for your buck. Tinted in such a way to block glare and keep your eyes relaxed but still give you maximum visibility. The only downside (and you are getting what you pay for here) is the way they handle peripheral sunlight. The flaps on side do a great job of this but also make you feel a bit like a horse with blinders on. On the mountain a bit more peripheral vision is a good thing, and so you're somewhat limited. That being said its not a huge draw back and I can't find anything to beat it at this price!
