I am accumulating as much icebreaker stuff as I can. You cant beat the softness of their wool (I tried on a competitor top yesterday and it feels like hessian sack in comparison). This particular top was my top of choice for sleeping whilst doing a slew of multi-day hikes throughout Olympic, Yosemite and Banff National Parks last year. It was great as a layering piece for those colder days where the temperatures dipped below 50.
I really liked the color and thought the fit was true to size. I just thought 150 weight was a little too thin. Perhaps someone else would disagree. I prefer 200 and will not go down in weight.
Got a size small and its true to size, not too tight, not too loose. Pretty long sleeves but they bunch up and its not bothersome. Super soft and nice against the skin. I got the black so cant go wrong there. This top has the gusseted arms so it doesn't ride up when you lift up your arms. Stoked with all my icebreaker gear, cant wait to go out and use it in the coming weeks.
I've been hearing all this hype about merino made products for quite some time now. Considering I have tons of synthetic base layers already in my closet that I love, I was a little skeptical to spend the extra cash on something new that may turn out to be no better than what I already own. Boy, was I wrong. All the hype is right when talking about merino wool. I have been living in my Icebreaker top for days now and still there is no smell. It is perfect for late night bike rides. It doesn't take up a lot of space if you want to throw it in your bag for just in case. If the wind is strong though, I do find that you still get a little chilly, but a lightweight jacket will fix that.
My mom got one of these when we were backpacking in New Zealand. She always said how comfy it was. I needed a shirt like it for another backpacking adventure and I got this one. Smart move. the sleeves come really long. i love it personally. and I have really sensitive skin and it didnt make me itch. awesome shirt overall.
I bought this for my daughter to wear under her cheerleading warm up suit to cheer football season! She is out on the Cumberland Plateau where it is really breezy! It is awesome and she loves it!
Nice fitting that stays unchanged after plenty of washing and usage. Like the blue colour. Use it for everyday, looks great with jeans on a casual day or sleep with open window. My boyfriend says I look sexy in it:) Can't say anything bad about this product. Buying my second one in black today - go for it.
I love this shirt! It is light weight, fitted and flattering! I wore it as a bottom layer skiing one day and the next day wore it as my only layer when I went running. Very versatile... I want one in every color!
