DECENT FEATURES of the Icebreaker Women's Chakra Zip Top
This was my favorite hiking shirt during 6 weeks in Peru. It's great warmth for the weight, and the zipper and collar make it more versatile than the crewneck shirt in this weight. Plus, there's the no stink bonus. I'd definitely recommend replacing your long sleeve synthetics with merino wool. I'm 5'3, 100, and got the XS.
"Icebreaker has taken wool to a whole new level"
I am smitten over this brand. It's like smartwool, but better.Smooth, luscious , yummy, thick, soft wool. When I first got this shirt, I wore it every day for a week. You won't even know you're wearing it. It, like, becomes a part of your body. If you work up a sweat while wearing this top, you won't ever know it. Won't feel damp to the touch and certainly won't smell. Gotta love wool.Regret: I got the xs. I still love the fit but have come to feel that the sleeves are a tad short. I'm 5'6" and 120lbs. If you're my size, go for the small!
This is such a great top that I am now obsessed with Icebreaker stuff and have ordered several more tops (even though they are really expensive!)- super cozy and comfy, no odor and I am a BIG sweater (not the garment, the liquid)- my kids beg to borrow, my husband has made me order him a shirt as well- great product, love the "baa code"! Keep it up!
Love this top. I own other icebreaker products and this didn't disappoint me with the great quality and comfort. This is NOT your parents wool shirt. It's very soft but not heavy. F.Y.I. Bodyfit is a very accurate description...not tight but fits close to the bod.
"keeps ya warm, cool, and nonsmelly---and dries quickly"
TOTALLY awesome!!! I just got back from wearing it both days for the Pikes Peak Ascent which turned into a ten-mile ascent to the treeline and then a descent because we were turned back due to lightning at the top. Day one was 40's-50's and intermittent cold rain. The shirt was a perfect base layer. Day two was low 50's no rain---yippee!! but snowing and 27 degrees at the summit. I wore the icebreaker after rinsing it out the night before, of course---and it dried quickly!...of course being at 7,000ft. helped with that as a stanalone layer until I got to the treeline, where it became once again, a warm and breathe-able base layer. Too bad it couldn't actually breathe FOR me---no much oxygen
Just LOVE my Icebreaker, and this Bodyfit is no exception. Work or play, I feel the bomb. If I'm feeling very daring and happy to show off my amazing bust, I'll wear it by itself. Otherwise, I'll tuck it under another Icebreaker layer. Depends what the other half says as I leave the house...
