Amazing!Like many people, I was a bit skeptical of wearing wool in hot weather for hiking, but this thing lived up to all of the wonderful things I've been told about merino wool. It doesn't feel like the wool I remember from years ago, it is soft and very comfortable. After several hikes on warm days without washing the shirt, it didn't smell... that never would have happened with cotton or any of my synthetic shirts. It's expensive for a shirt, but the fact that I can wear it backpacking without offending my travel companions makes it worth the price. If you are thinking of wool as a scratchy material reserved for cold weather, think again and give this shirt a try.

The best in merino wool t-shirts.As for quality: Besides the silky soft feel of merino wool, the shirt sturdy and really well made.,,,,As for function: This is the year round t-shirt. Hot or cool, rain or shine, moving or lounging; you will not be uncomfortable. ,,,,As for fit: I'm 5'7"/38" chest/32 waist; not the typical American biuld. So, these shirts fit great. Not too loose or tight and slightly larger neck holes. I've worn SmartWool's NTS T-Shirt and Ibex's U-Sixty, they don't fit as well as the Tech T Lite.,,,,As for Style: Composed of the most active inteligent fiber, this shirt is for the active inteligent man.

Great shirt, but avoid if you're sweating A TONI've had this shirt for about 7 months now, 5 of which was spent backpacking around Europe. For that use, I'd give it a 5 star for sure...no smell, quick to dry after a sink wash, looks great (wore it to clubs and into the woods). However, some people review that it's great for running/mb/etc, and I have to disagree with that. In Arkansas, humidity in the summer is crazy, along with 110 degree temps. If you are going to be sweating like crazy, leave this thing at home; it gets waterlogged and will not dry out unless you take it off. It also gets kind of heavy when it's doused in sweat.

Bring out your colorGood: The red really brings out the brown in my beautiful eyes.,,Bad: Short hem, raises up when I raise my arms. Not necessarily bad, but I live in the PNW and my midriff is white enough to startle deer.,,Good: Very thin material feels great in hot weather, and wool means no stink-eye at work for not changing after a lunch break workout. Not that I care.,,Bad: Made in China. For a company so concerned with environmental impact...sheesh. Talk about carbon footprint!,,Good: Has stood up to repeated washings; I was initially concerned with the durability of such thin material.

As Good As They SayI purchased an Icebreaker T last summer. I was hesitant at first due to the price, but I was tired of being hot, sticky and smelly while backpacking. I bit the bullet and spent the money. I found that my new shirt kept me dryer with no sticky feeling like I've had with my poly shirts in the past, and there was almost no body odor. This was pretty exciting! So much so that I bought a long sleeve and a 260 half zip for colder weather. The warmer top rolls up smaller than a fleece and is just a tiny bit heavier. Well worth it! There is a hint of wet wool odor when you perspire heavily, but that disappears as quick as the moisture wicks away. I'm so impressed with the shirts that I'm buying a spare T today. Great product!

My new favorite shirtI got this shirt recently despite being a little bit skeptical about the cost. After wearing it for the first time, I understood why it is priced how it is -- Its quality is pretty amazing. This is my first piece of merino wool clothing, and I will have a hard time now blowing a fortune on other merino articles of clothing in the future. ,,,,The shirt feels great in everyday scenarios and also for things like yard work and exercise (not that I know much about that).

Throw out all your other t-shirts -- these are the only ones you needHiked 2 weeks in Ticino without washing and it never picked up any odor at least that I could detect. Stays warm when damp and wicks for comfort in heat. These shirts are the best. I use the light colors as t-shirts for work and they not only protect expensive dress shirts from odor and sweat but they also regulate temperature well. They wear well for years, but my old favorite is now showing wear after three years of serious hiking.

After you start wearing merino its hard to go back but the durability leaves something to be desiredI wear one of these almost every day, the merino is super comfy and it really does not retain odour. The only problem is that all my 150 weight shirts now have a few small holes in them. The holes seem to develop fairly early and don't get much bigger over time. The shirts are also prone to stretching so will stretch if you don't dry them lying down which is also a pain.,,My 200 weight shirts don't have the above problems
