"This is an awesome base layer."  03/09/12

I bought this shirt almost two years ago for rowing in the late fall and early spring and it's held up to everything I've thrown at it. It never stinks even after a week or two of hard practices which is so much nicer than having to wash synthetic base layers after using them once. Super warm in low temps and even when it's wet, but not to warm to wear inside either. All in all, I've found my favorite base layer.

"This is an awesome base layer."  03/09/12

I've had this shirt for almost two years now and it's held up to everything I've thrown at it. It never smells which is great compared to synthetic base layers that stink after a single use. Super warm for cold temps and even when it gets wet, yet still comfortable to wear inside.

"Warm, breaths well and feels great on the skin."  12/19/11

I've been using this piece for running, biking, indoor training, as a casual underwear on colder days and i think i even went to sleep in it once. This is a great underwear top which is surprisingly durable. Its just enough warm and feels amazing on the skin.

"Awesome Base Layer"  12/07/11

Bought this as a base layer for the cold outdoor days in Michigan. Wore it the weekend I got it in a 30 degree 5K and it was perfect. I was warm, but never overheated. The tight fit was perfect to prevent any chaffing from cold weather running as well! Highly recommend it to all.

"Warm, Cool, but itchy..."  12/02/11

Its true what they say. This is my first Merino wool item, and it does cool me down when im hot, and warm me up when im cold. The quality of this product for something so thin and made of merino is amazing! The box it came in and the tags are first class.I am 5'11" 167lbs medium athletic build. Most of the shirt fits perfectly...the arms are slightly tight on my though. The only reason I didn't give this 5 star is because my skin is much more sensitive than others...and I get some minor itching from wearing this top, but I'm sure most people would be fine with it (hopefully it gets better after the first wash).

"Nice material, poor sizing"  11/23/11

I'm 5'8" 165. I have a SS Icebreaker T in a M, it fits well. I really wanted to like this product. The problem with this top is that the sleeves are really tight - even on the large. When buying, definitely consider sizing up. I think that the "Tech" series with a little lycra is probably a lot better, but I'm hoping to pick up some Patagonia on Black Friday that's cheaper anyway.I didn't find it to be too itchy, and that generally improves with washing.

"nope, no way"  11/13/11

i hated this thing. im 6'2'' 190lbs and bought both a medium and a large hoping to send back the one that didnt fit. i ended up returning them both. the medium was to small. i managed to get the large on but it was to tight and did not want me to raise my arms. it wasnt long enought in the waist creating a belly shirt whenever i rasied my arms or bent over. and the tags. oh man the tags on this thing are gynormus! the huge one on the back i could feel and whats worse they put one on the side too! just as big as the other one. they could take a lesson from patagonia. oh yeah and the sleeves are to short. oh yeah and it was itchy!

"cool !"  11/08/11

You will never want to wear anything else instead. It keeps you warm and it doesn't smell - so, if you hike a lot or simply just hate washing clothes, wear this long sleeve t-shirt. It is comfortable and and it looks cool too

"Buy as much icebreaker stuff as you can afford, then sell your other stuff and buy more"  08/07/11

My favorite base layer shirt for colder weather backpacking, its warm but breathable. I also use it when trail running, working out, and climbing so I dont have to listen to the gf complain about stinky clothes smell when i come home (she used to do that alot). Buy this shirt you wont regret it. You cant go wrong with moosejaw and Icebreakers.

"Air conditioning next to your skin"  04/23/11

I progressively renew my wardrobe with merino wool products. As a paraglider pilot, I can be sweating on the ground and freezing at high altitude one hour latter. In such situation, this Icebreaker merino wool base layer is in his element and perfectly regulate body temperature.

"Excellent Shirt, but a little expensive"  01/11/11

I bought two of these while traveling in New Zealand. They are much cheaper there. These two shirts are my primary running and bumming around town shirts. I let one hang dry after a run and were the other, then run in it and put on the one that was hang drying. No smell. This shirt with a pure nylon wind breaker is good for 15-40 degress F depending on the effort level. Nice long sleeves (6'3" and lanky, 157 lbs) a Large fits me excellently. Breathes well enough that when i forget a T-shirt for the gym, just were this shirt and roll up the sleeves and sweat a bit more. Been thinking about getting another, and the only thing holding me back is price, might use the my $10 coupon to get one...

"Excellent fit and function"  12/29/10

I bought this as a base layer for cool and cold conditions. The 200 weight fabric is soft and stretchy. The material seems relatively lightweight in hand, but once on it is extremely warm. I am completely sold on Merino. It breathes well and dries quickly. I am 6'1" tall and thin and find it difficult to find long sleeve shirts that fit my 38" torso and still have long enough arms to reach my wrists (normally 35" center back arms). This shirt in size M is cut perfectly. The the shirt body length is short but the tail is slightly longer in the back. I have a relatively short torso so it works fine for me.
