ICEBREAKER MEASUREMENT GUIDE and FIT INFO
• Please note that all the info provided refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
• If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, go to the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
• If your body measurements result in different sizes, Icebreaker recommends using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.
HOW TO MEASURE:
Chest - Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist - Place the measuring tape at your natural waist, which is the narrowest point on your torso.
Hips - Place the measuring tape around the fullest point on your hips.
FIT INFO AND DETAILS:
Slim Fit - A snug, close-to-the-body fit for low-bulk layering.
Regular Fit - A fit that is neither snug nor loose. Garments with this fit can be worn solo or over other layers.
Relaxed Fit - Loose-fitting lightweight layers. Ideal for more casual use.
* You can find the fit info for Icebreaker styles in the product description features and specifications.

One hell of a solid purchase, worth every dimeI got this right before a 4 day backpacking trip where I wore this shirt for all 4 days, never once removing it. I was absolutely amazed, wore it in temps from low 70's to low 20's as my base layer and it performed incredibly, warm when it needed to be and cool in the higher temps, though it was clearly being pushed on the up hill parts. I guess thats what the zipper is for and why you can roll up the sleeves though. I visited the folks on the way home and took the shirt off to have my own mother smell it. She was shocked, despite the fact that it was clearly covered in salt from evaporated sweat there was no foul odors at all.

Just Try to Find a Better Base LayerIcebreaker makes a great product. This shirt is super light, keeps me cool when I'm a hot mess (wicks fast, dries fast) and keeps me toasty when my man-ipples look like they can break their own ice. I pack this shirt with me wherever I go, as well as the crew version. When layered together, they are about as warm as the warmest sweater I had before I heard of Icebreaker, and they breath way better. Also, I can wear my Icebreakers for days and they don't build up any smelly funk. The quarter-zip is nice - it gives the shirt an extra element of breathability or a little extra warmth for the neck - a great feature if you're stopping and going with a heavy pack in the cold.

Highly recommended. Icebreaker has a new fan.My first thought when I received this top was how lightweight it was, which wasn't a bad thing. The fit is slim, as advertised, which really makes it feel like a second skin and is easy to layer. I'm not particularly wool sensitive, but this baby is soft. It would take someone with an extreme aversion to wool to find it itchy or uncomfortable. I've been a fan of wool for awhile, but this is my first technical wool buy, so I didn't know what to expect. I made a good decision. I just got back from a vacation to Ruidoso, NM, where I wore it most of the time, from lounging around the cabin to walking around town to hiking Sierra Blanca peak. Most of the time I layered it under a flee

Sizing a bit snug by American sizing, and maybe...First, maybe the size may have been too snug for me, which might be the reason that I was a quite surprised when this Merino item was so immediately scratchy/itchy as it was. I have trim build (6'1" 190lbs.), but I think maybe I should have heeded another's review, the sizes are a little on the small the American sizing scale. I do like the snug bodyfit but need to give the next size up a try. ,,And surprised, as comparatively, I purchased two similar Smartwool products in this order and they were worlds apart in feel. The Smartwool (M) NTS products were not as snug as the Icebreaker. ,,I like the style, before I waste return postage again, I'll go by an Icebreaker store and try a medium and larges in a few other styles.

Tough Base Layer-Not So Tough Zipper-Remedied With Great Moosejaw ServiceI am a big fan of merino wool base layer shirts. They're more comfortable than tech fabrics, and can be worn for weeks without any stink. I need only a few because they are so durable and can be worn for weeks on end. Sadly, after only the third wear, the zipper on the this one broke. I brought it back into Moosjaw, and happily and with out any questions shipped me a new one out FexEx ground. Probably a fluke they said, and I will have a replacement within days. Love the service, and the product.

This base layer is the bombdiggidity!I love this base layer! Recently wore it for a week straight in the Canadian wilderness and it was amazing. It does what Icebreaker says. Keeps you warm when you need it, but it's also cool when the weather warms up. And after a week, it didn't smell! Or maybe I was used to the funk? Seriously, the natural wool fiber is magical. I've also used it several times running now that the weather is getting colder. Regulates your body temp surprisingly well and wicks away moisture. Highly recommend it.

Merino wool "virgin" professes love for Icebreaker Mondo!!!I just got my Icebreaker today and took a walk in this 32 degree winter eve with my trusty wonder mutt, Amber (she stuck with her traditional dog fur). I'm blown away by how WARM, how SOFT and how FORM FITTING this top is. It's perfect as a base layer for my "keep it moving" self! I'm going hiking Sunday morning and can't wait to put the Merino wool through it's paces. Is it appropriate for a man to love a base layer this much? ,,,,Rick Charlotte, NC

Great baselayer comfortable, warm, light weight, functional, doesn't stink.I just returned from a January backpack trip to the Big South Fork NRRA where I was able to try out this fantistic piece of gear. I worm this top the entire weekend trip. It proved to be arm and comfortable, dried quickly when damp and didn't stink when I got home. Temperatures ranged from 35 degrees down to 8 degrees F. It didn't itch at all. A really great base layer for cold weather.
