When I saw that this shirt was meant for warm and hot weather, but could easily pass as a base layer in colder weather, I was excited, but skeptical. Then I got it and wore it for a few days in various conditions. Truly an amazing and versatile shirt.
I use this top when travelling from Scotland to Angola, it keeps me warm in Scotland as a base layer, I can wear it through the heat of Angola and it doesn't stink, plus it's quite cool.
In our area boating is big, and one of the many hobbies is racing sailboats. The main challenge during the summer is keeping cool while not becoming char-broiled. This shirt exactly fits the bill! The material is light-weight, stays very cool even when sitting in direct sun for hours on end, and finally does a great job helping to cover up from the sun when necessary. I strongly suggest this product for anyone that is looking something to fill such a need.
This shirt is great. I really like that its long sleeve and still light. For most of the year in michigan its just the right weight for a base layer. It being long sleeve keeps bugs and sun off more of me. The merino wool is not itchy after first wash or after a few hours of wear. I wear it fishing alot and keeps me warm even when wet. only down side is that its not cheap, but i do think its way worth it. i would have a few of them if i could afford it but only have one and it holds up great to lots of wear. Bottom line get one if you are looking for a long sleeve base layer thats high quality
