The Icebreaker Men's Helix Long Sleeve Zip Hood is a water-resistant insulated jacket for cool weather hiking in the fall and spring, or wear it as a mid-layer while snowshoeing or skiing. The Helix uses MerinoLOFT™ insulation for warmth on a chilly day and the lining is super soft wool that will wick sweat and control odor. Hard to say no to less stink. The outer fabric resists a light rain or snow but if the elements worsen, throw on a hardshell over top and the low-bulk Helix won't get in your way. The two zip pockets will warm your hands or hold onto your compass, they're okay with either situation.

ICEBREAKER MEASUREMENT GUIDE and FIT INFO
• Please note that all the info provided refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.
• If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, go to the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
• If your body measurements result in different sizes, Icebreaker recommends using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.
HOW TO MEASURE:
Chest - Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest.
Waist - Place the measuring tape at your natural waist, which is the narrowest point on your torso.
Hips - Place the measuring tape around the fullest point on your hips.
FIT INFO AND DETAILS:
Slim Fit - A snug, close-to-the-body fit for low-bulk layering.
Regular Fit - A fit that is neither snug nor loose. Garments with this fit can be worn solo or over other layers.
Relaxed Fit - Loose-fitting lightweight layers. Ideal for more casual use.

Excellent jacketI hesitated buying this jacket as I was unsure of the fit. However, I am very happy that I decided to take a chance. The jacket fits perfectly and despite its light weight has kept me comfortable in windy conditions with temperatureas in the low 40s so far. Look forward to testing it in colder weather. Have not had the jacket long enough to give it 5 stars for durability but have not been disappointed so far.

Not for the Great Outdoors, but Great for the OutdoorsI just received this jacket and have had it for less than one week. The temperatures have been between 30 and 50 F this week.,,,,Warmth,,The jury is out on this one. Definitely doesn't seem to be as warm as my lightweight down sweater, but still need to get below freezing to really test this out. It definitely seems warm for how light it is. No idea on waterproofing.,,,,Fit,,I'm 5'10", 175 with 15 1/2" neck, 34 length arms, 39 chest. Fit in the shoulders and chest is good. Length on the torso is good and love the longer back to this jacket. The sleeves are almost exactly the right length, but maybe a tad short. When bending my elbows things get a little tight in the jacket. This is not a jacket for active endeavors and is mainly for walking / light hiking. Lifting arms above head everything moves with your arms.,,,,Best Uses,,Going out at night. The black looks more formal than your average outdoor jacket, but still fits well with a casual look. Probably won't be skiing in.

Love the feel of the woolI haven't had the jacket long enough or put it through enough abuse to give it a good review. Fits great, repels water well in a light shower
