Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice cushion, but not good for pronators. I love the look, feel and fit of the shoe. Unfortunately, I have a bad knee and the design of the external heel created immediate pain. I think it is because the external design has the heel take a slight concave angle, while the inside flairs steadily. Within just a few strides, I could feel the pressure on the ligament on the outside of my knee. Hoka took them right back, no problems. I purchased the Stinson 3 (which had not been available when I bought the Bondi)...and LOVE them just like my first pair of Hokas. If you pronate even a little, look to the Sintson 3 instead of the Bondi. If you don't pronate, then Bondi might be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from confused I'm a stagehand and I'm on my feet up to 16 hrs a day and most of the time on concrete...I love Hoka's but have had some foot problems lately and recently had to go to the wider width and they just don't seem to have as much cushion as the narrower one does...I am on my 5th pair and have always loved them but now I'm not getting the love from them as I did before...I have told so many people about how comfy these shoes are and now I'M very disappointed in them...So what's up HOKA?...give us a little more cushion in our wider shoes...I will keep telling folks about how good these shoes are but not if they have to have a wider shoe...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bondi These shoes are great for the older person who use to be an athlete and now suffer from bad knees, back and hips. These shoes literally allow me to participate in events...walking car shows, amusement parks, camping. Things that seem simple to others had become increasingly difficult for me. I need to have 2 knee replacements from old sports injuries. These shoes are life-savers. I have recommended them to an ER nurse at my Yoga class...and they have made all the difference to her. I just gave a pair to my SIL and she can't believe the difference. My kids also wear them for running etc. I don't want their knees to end up like mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First marathon success! I purchased the Hoka One Bondi 4 at the Disney World Expo and ran the Princess Half (first race ever, by the way). I hadn't planned on running in the new shoes but they were so much more comfortable than the other shoes I had been training in, so I broke the cardinal rule of running and ran in BRAND NEW SHOES. Now, not that I'm recommending anyone do this, but it certainly worked for me! No blisters, no rubbed spots, no calf pain (and I always had that), no high arch pain, and only a little ball of the foot pain after the race was over (I have bone issues) My sister recommended them to me - she's an expert runner and runs in Hokas all the time - and I'm HOOKED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly awesome! My doctor tried these out because he is a runner. He absolutely loved them. Since I had my foot and ankle fused, I have had a hard time walking on uneven grounds. So my doctor thought I should try them out. No one sells them in my area so I have no idea what to expect. I am glad I bought them because now I am able to walk comfortably anywhere! I have also got so many compliments on how cute they are. Lastly, I have walked on wet floors and it never slipped! I found it amazing! I will continue to buy these! I recommend them to anyone that is athletic or has fusions. I hope they start selling them in my area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am definitely buying another pair! I am not an avid athlete, but I do take my 3 dogs for walks or hikes daily (usually on pavement or black top). I started getting heel spurs and tried many different athletic shoes. I read about Hoka and on the first walk I had instant relief. I had ordered a 1/2 size bigger because my feet are short & wide, but truly there was no need to. I did not return them but kept them because they are such a great shoe. I started wearing them to work too. I am definitely ordering another pair! I get a lot of questions and comments about the look and feel of the shoe. I definitely recommend Hoka to everyone who asks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe! I run about 55-60 miles a week and found this shoe to be the perfect trainer as well as race companion. I had been running on another brand for years and during a race had a very bad injury to my heal. Upon returning to running after six weeks of therapy it was suggested that I try Hokas. I put them on and have been running in them ever since. I seem to go through them in about 8-10 weeks. They are amazingly comfortable, narrow enough for my foot and heal as it too is narrow. They felt a bit strange in the beginning, but now I could not imagine running in anything but a Hoka!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cushioning I purchased these at my local running store. For the last 8 years, I've run exclusively in either Brooks Adrenaline or Cascadia. Due to arthritis and overall aging, I decided to try something new. These shoes, while a bit sloppy, are a total game changer for me. I have what amounts to compartment syndrome in both feet: extremely painful. These shoes provide enough "give" during the transition for my foot to turn over without feeling constricted, yet still provide the stability I need due to slight over-pronation. I'm very happy that I went with my gut and moved into a maximalist shoe. I'll probably stick with Hoka One One for a long time. I'd like to try the Constant next, but I think these Bondi 4s will last awhile.
