DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Primaloft Black

PrimaLoft Black
PrimaLoft Black synthetic insulation offers just the essentials for your backcountry needs. It provides ample warmth with minimal bulk and maximum breathability, in an extremely compressible package.

HELLY HANSEN MEASUREMENT GUIDE

• Please note that all the info provided refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

HOW TO MEASURE:

Chest - Place the tape measure under the arms and around the fullest part of your chest.

Waist - Measure around the natural part of the waist, which is usually the narrowest part of the waist.

Hip - Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam - Measure from the crotch to where you want the bottom of the pant leg to fall.

Sleeve Length - Measure from the center of your back neck, across your shoulder and down the outside of your arm to where the sleeve will end at your wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am 5'5" tall and weigh 140lbs; the large size that was recommended fits generously with enough room for layers beneath in the cold and it's comfortable and doesn't feel too big. It comes down to about 3"- 4" above my knee so it reaches my lower thigh and gives good coverage. I particularly like the warmly lined pockets, adjustable cuffs and high neck that keeps out the wind. I haven't used it in heavy rain yet but it certainly worked well in drizzle and the hood is deep enough to provide good shelter. I use mine for daily dog walks in the woods and it is perfect for this activity.

I'm looking for a spring and fall rain jacket to wear in Wisconsin when the temps are in the 40s and 50s. Would this jacket be too warm?

Asked by: alliemac
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! You've got your eyes on a great jacket. Not only is it waterproof, windproof and breathable, but it also has 100 grams of Primaloft Black insulation! You should be fine with jacket when it comes to the spring and fall seasons of Wisconsin. At worst, you would have to (maybe) layer a bit .But otherwise, you'll be fine!!! Hope this helps you out!
