Great chairI tried this and the helinox camp chair. This chair is much more comfortable!stuff the case and it becomes a pillow that velcros to the bac. It is a cinch to put together and take apart
I thought I would return because it arrived a bit late, after an event, but it was really worth keeping

Massive Comfort for Manageable Size & WeightBesides being light, convenient and comfortable enough to use recreationally - parks, soccer fields, campfires, etc. - it is also great for backpacking and hiking. It is a bit larger than you might want to put into a daypack or backpack, but if you can strap it onto the outside of a pack, it only ads 3 lbs.
It fit well enough in the outside pouch of my Camelbak (Mule) on some remote day hikes into Arches National Park. I've used my Helinox Chair One and Alite Monarch in similar situations. And while they are smaller and lighter, I think the improved comfort from the higher seat, higher back and headrest is worth the extra 1.5 pounds and 50% more bulk.
Trying to avoid the high cost of this chair, I first bought a knock-off from Amazon (there are a half dozen brands using an apparently similar design). Despite it costing 1/3 as much, it was incredibly uncomfortable and I returned it. The knock-off's seat was very shallow and the skinnier poles flex more so you tend to slide right out of the chair. The seat support doesn't extend beneath your legs so you have to keep your legs engaged to remain seated. This is not relaxing, let alone after a long hike.
I had sat in the Sunset chair and remembered it being more substantial and comfortable. I use my Chair One all the time and trust Helinox. So I bit the bullet and bought it from Moosejaw. It was worth it.
The one downside to this chair, as with the Chair One, is its tendency to sink in soft ground. Helinox sells a mat that keeps you afloat and some heavy, large plastic balls (that may only fit on the smaller feet of the Chair One - not sure). But I think you could create enough surface area to keep from sinking by using PVC pipe caps. I'm going to try that.
