Easy peasy!Very lightweight and easy to adjust! They never slipped or lost their grip! They especially had a grand time on the Piken's Nose trail in the Standing Indian area in Franklin, NC. Met some really awesome rock climbers there. Took their picture. Now they are engaged! Ooops. Sorry about my ADD I got off track! These poles worked well. Sometimes they vibrated a bit. Do not know if this is a normal occurrance for trekking poles as these are my one and only pair. Was thinking I should have gotten the ones that twist to adjust because they are lighter, but these were quicker to set where I wanted and change if needed. The grips were comfy as well as the straps. They did not slip around in my hand. They are very sturdy and do not bend or bow out. Biggest disappointment on this trip was,.....I FORGOT MY MOOSEJAW FLAG!!! Grrrrrr......
