Best ftting, most comfortable and durable boot i have ownedThese boots have seen a lot of ice, snow, mud, and now pouring rain. I have not been cold or wet in them even once. Break in was minimal, a couple light days at work. And they don't make my feet sweat indoors. Super comfortable, and a great fit, even for someone with a wider foot and high arch. Many of the other technical European brands run a bit narrow, so if that doesn't work for you give these a try. They look great too.

fantastic bootThe Bergler is a truly unique boot. It looks like a "traditional mountain boot," has a glove soft leather liner, and a leather topped insole. Unlike boots with the name Super Perfekt, Limmer, Wilderness, etc. these are thoroughly modern in performance. They are very lightweight for an all leather, double stitched boot and need very little break-in. These boots are made for walking, not kicking holes in ice. They have good flex, a cushioned outsole, and a really nice rocker. Comfortable enough for running errands in the rain, digging ditches, rough trail hikes, or extended backpacking. Fit is roomy with a nice wide toe box. I have narrow duck feet, with a liner and medium wool sock combo, I'm able to make them fit well. For summer use, I may need to use a volume reducer under the insole so I could wear a thinner sock. These boots are also rare in that they have less heel lift than most boots, which helps to feel the ground and not roll an ankle. I couldn't be more pleased, old school looks, modern performance!

Slope D from
Sturdy BootRelatively easy to brake in and did not brutalize my feet during the process. After about 16 hours of waring I am quite happy with the fit and performance of the boot. Construction is promising for life time of tromping about the mountains and woods.
Trying to decide between these and the grünten's but not really sure what the differences are?
Asked by: warren2474
Hiya, thanks for your question! The main difference is that the Bergler boot's lining is made with chrome free tanned leather, which is suitable for people who are allergic to ordinary leather. Hope this helps!

Are these boots water proof?
Asked by: Mark
Thanks for reaching out to us, again! While the Hanwag Bergler Boots aren't waterproof, they have hydrophobic qualities, which just means they tend to repel water. I would still treat the boots. I hope this helped you out!
