One piece forged Chromoly steel head, hand polished, with the entire length of the Neo-classical pick. The modified reverse curve inclination means that the blade can be swung around naturally, providing superb placement in varied types of ice. The blade is reinforced by a "net" that follows the strength lines. The Ergal 7075 light alloy shaft corresponds to CE and UIAA norms. The included Easy-Slider is a hand rest that can slide to the tail end of the shaft when hand support is needed and can also slide to the top end in walking mode; it supports the hand, protecting it from the violent blows against the wall.An elastic sling system avoids losing the tool when climbing on rock or ice. The jorasses 2.0 is a well balanced ice axe with a very efficient and ergonomic swing.

light and versatileThis tool is sweet. The biggest reason is because of its versatility. It will plunge excellently, grivel slider is awesome, and with the slider and pick its perfectly capable of doing vertical ice. Sure, its no nomic but it will get the job done, and wont fail you when you encounter steep snow or less than vertical ice, which for my uses is what I'm doing most of the time anyway. This tool exists for people who actually analyze what they do. Everyone wants a super ergonomic tool that looks crazy. This is for those people who realize that for their purposes they don't need that. Do more with less, get this tool and be pleasantly surprised. For the alpine environment you cant go wrong with this tool.
