You want aggressive? You've got it.These things have teeth. The aggressive front and secondary points have given me great peace of mind when kicking into hard alpine ice.,,,,After shopping around, the Cramp-O-Matic (metal wire front bale) binding looked like the better choice over the futuristic-looking New-Matic (DuPont-developed plastic binding developed specifically for ski gear) for boots with significant heel and toe welts. If your boots have those, the metal on both bales give you the burlier option on both ends of the crampon compared to the plastic front bale of the New-Matic. Still, the New-Matic gives you more flexibility/versatility with different boot types/designs.,,,,The crampons handle well for putting on, even with gloves, too.,,,,All that said, these are some of the most expensive crampons on the market (at retail, anyways). If you want some serious crampons for all alpine conditions, drop the money on the G22s. Cramp-O-Matic to match with your dedicated winter boots or New-Matic for more versatility.
