The G20 Cramp-O-Matic Crampons by Grivel represent an evolution of the modern technique. The evolution of the modern technique of climbing ice pushes towards a more fluid motion, more elegant and faster, therefore it demands a crampon that makes it possible: a technical crampon, and a super-light one. G20 is a crampon 100% technical, reliable, efficient and the LIGHTEST IN THE WORLD: less than 800 grams per pair! The new MONO-RAIL technology (patented) distributes the 12 points in an intelligent and original way.

"Pick your poison"  06/23/11

Uber-lightweight mono rail design, fixed mono front point, Grivel quality, totally killer. Grivel advertises these as the lightest technical crampons on the market, and they sure feel like it on your feet. Downsides: Lack of an anti balling plate in the front makes them useless/a pain/dangerous in wet snow (hence "technical crampon"?), and the unibody design of the front section means when your points wear down you have to replace the whole front portion of the crampon which is not cheap (not even sure if you can buy it in the US yet).
