Product Description Item No.   10214992

The combination of extremely strong and sophisticated materials, together with Grivel's advanced technology lie behind the realization of this crampon by Grivel, which leaves all the other models on the market far behind. Ten points in contact with ice while you're walking and twelve that bite into the slope during traverses. The last two front points are Bi-angular to maintain bite when descending or traversing sideways. Even the soles of the most modern boots are perfectly covered. Designed for ski touring, competitive ski mountaineering, classical mountaineering routes and for high altitude or distant expeditions where weight is the determining factor. The model comes with the Flex bar, which allows the foot free movement without over stressing the crampon. New Classic binding system with bi-component strap giving maximum strength and maximum adherence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really light, functional crampons I got these crampons for fast-and-light approaches in the sierras-- the flexible bar and the strap system lets you jury-rig them onto approach shoes (they fit well enough this way, I wouldn't do technical ice this way of course). Because of their intelligent aluminum construction these things are lighter than the quasi-functional "approach crampons" from the competitors. Only downside is cost...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I've used them 3 times and they broke I paid a lot of money for these crampons and had planned on using them in the for many New England winters. I had used them three times, they gripped very well on frozen streams and iced over rocks. Unfortunately, the heel spikes snapped and broke off during the 3rd time I had ever used them. I was very careful to stay off the rocks as much as I could. These crampons barely show any sign of wear except for the heel spikes beigh snapped off on the right crampon
