Sweet like butterAlong with several other people, I got a chance to place these side-by-side against screws from Black Diamond and Petzl/Charlet. We all agreed, the Grivels were the easiest to place, by far. These really go in smoothly and seem to be easier to start on the initial bite as well. However, opinion was divided about the big yellow handle. Some felt it got in the way on the harness, or didn't like how it folded compared with other designs. That's up to you, but for ease of placement, this screw is a winner.

Enters where there is not much flat space aroundThe head of the ice screw is made so that you can screw it in, without to much flat space around. So then you don't have to level the ice with the ice axe first. The Black Diamond Express screws (also great) demand a larger flat area around them.,,,,I also like that protection cap for the tip of the screw can be placed on the handle, when the screw is in the ice.
