DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Bug Out Bag" My boyfriends obsessed with survival and bug out bags so I researched long and hard for a pack I was going to haul what might be all of my remaining earthly belongings on before coming to this pack. I chose Bodega Blue for it's beauty, but I was sold on the comfort. This could easily hold a week plus worth of gear if you packed well. The top panel comes off (not easily) and can be used as a daypack. It's hydration compatible. My only complaint is the panel divider is a bit tricky to manouvre for me, but that's just me. I love all the little extra pockets and the waist belt pocket. This pack feels the best when you load it to it's max capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack--light and I used this pack on a five day hike through the mountains, and the only constuctive comment I would have is that the water bottle holders are a little difficult to get to when hiking, so that just takes a bit of practice to get used to. In other words, take advantage of a camelback like product with the pack. ,,I am 5 feet tall about 120 pounds and got a small after fitting at a local store. This gregory sat up higher and more comfortable on my frame than any of the Ospreys. ,,This pack is light, and holds more than enough for that type of trip. Plus, the teal and sand color is super cute. Highly recommend giving this pack a try!,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my pack! I've used this pack for weekend backpacking trips and one week long adventure in NH. I LOVE it! It fits everything I need (since my husband carries the shared gear), my camera fits in the hip belt pocket, and it is very comfortable. The outside pockets make it easy to keep things organized and easy to access. ,,,,My biggest complaint about the pack is that it sometimes feels like it is leaning to the left or right. This probably has more to do with the way that I load it or asymetrical hips/shoulders, but I tend to fidgit with the straps for a little while before I feel like it is totally balanced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme comfort and convenient compartmentalization. I have had this pack for a couple years now, and have no regrets. I have taken it on about 6 backpacking trips, and it has never disappointed. The best part about it is the incredibly sturdy hip belt and straps, making it comfortable even when you are carrying a heavy load for many hours. It also has several convenient compartments to organize your snacks, maps, rain gear, water bottle, head lamp, and other items you may need to access on-the-go. The only things that isn't ideal is the internal water bladder storage (which makes it a hassle to pull the bladder out and put it back in when your pack is full). Other than that, this backpack is outstanding, and I would buy it all over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fit for small person Bought this pack somewhere else for $120 more! I am short (5' 00") and didn't have many choices due to my size. I put 25# in it, walked around before taking it on rtw trek and it feels like I'm hardly carrying any weight. There's plenty of pockets in addition to the main compartment. I wish there was a way to tie up all the compression straps so I wouldn't have to worry about it getting snagged on conveyor belt. The removable fanny pack looks a little awkward when removed and has a short strap, so I won't use it as a day pack/fanny pack. The two small pockets on the hip belt have easy access for important things. The padding is super thick and there's lots of straps for proper fitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Worth the Extra Weight and the Money This pack is amazing. It is so comfortable, the independently moving straps are really helpful when it comes to not falling, and it's constructed really well (I definitely fill it to its capacity, and throw the pack around a bit but the seams are still holding and it has no holes). The best thing about this pack is the storage, though. Even though it's only 60L, I can still fit as much as my friends who have 75L packs. Also, with all of the pockets and straps, I always know where everything is, and it's easily accessible. It is a great pack that is well worth the extra weight and the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This pack has a good balance of adequate space capabilities for most backpacking trips, while also m Pros,,Great back support,,Comfortable hip straps,,Durable,,Balanced weight,,Good space capabilities,,,,Cons,,Cannot be used as a carry-on bag,,Not the best choice for round-the-world travel,,,,I have used this backpack extensively through Australia, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia, and it has held up wonderfully. It definitely has enough space for a compact sleeping bag, hydration pack, gear, and a fair amount of clothes and toiletries. The back-support system is wonderful; even after I broke my back in Thailand, I am still able to use this pack. Highly recommended.,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It can pass as a medium pack. This bag fits it all. I've used it comfortably for everything from weekend trips to a two week trip. I took it to Hawaii as my only bag and even managed to carry it on. I think I got lucky, but it fit in the overhead compartment. This bag is a little heavier than others and Gregory is hopefully fixing the squeaky waist straps. I love the variety of compartments, though my bottom pocket zipper is sometimes a little stubborn. I recommend this bag. I think you can do better, but I won't be trading my in for a long long time.
