"Great Multi Use Pack"  10/10/10

Torre has friont zip access & deeper side pockets/better suspension/roll-top closure better compresses small loads. No front pkt- no prob: crampons easily attached on compression straps. Loaded for next week's trip back to El Diente; though I won't rope up it carries a helmet, 30m of 8.3 glacier rope, a harness, an ATC, webbing and rings, a couple of water bottles and a Katadyn, along with all the rain gear, first aid, lighting, et. al.Did not miss Osprey mesh strap pockets, as I attached a Maxpedition CP-L for a GPS on the left and a 4x6 on the other strap for doodads. Used MaxPedition GrimLoc D-Rings on compression straps for more tie-ins.

"Best Backcountry Ski Pack, Best all around pack"  06/19/10

I have been backcountry telemark skiing for 20 years. I have gone through many packs, always frustrated that the packs don't move with me or carry a heavy load comfortably. Finally I have found the perfect pack. This pack carries a 20-30lb load and makes it feel like its not there. When I ski down, my motion is highly involved, up and down, full body. So most packs sort of bounce around and feel like I'm pulling them down with me or they are resisting my movement or seem to carry a momentum that wants to keep me in a natural turn. The torre fuses to my body and becomes part of me. I don't even notice it is there.
