The Gregory Alpinisto 35 is a mountain pack for ice climbing, ski touring, and mountaineering. The Fusion Flex suspension is tough yet comfortable, providing just enough cushion along the backpanel. The versatile pack can be stripped down by removing the hipbelt, HDPE framesheet and bivy pad to make it lighter for a summit push. Strap your ice axes to the outside or stow them when you're not bringing them along for the trip. The same can be said for the super durable front crampon pocket. Tough and lightweight for adventures into the alpine.

It's a good pack for slender people, but larger people will be annoyed. One thousand characters is not enough for a thorough review so I placed my review here ( http://mgt-colucci.mgt.buffalo.edu/~ecolucci/GA35/Gregory%20Alpinisto%2035%20Review.txt ) along with links to one photo and a short video.

My only concern with this backpack is its lack of a dedicated avalanche safety pocket. Thoughts? Is important gear easy to access when necessary?

If you are concern about avalanches then look into the Black Diamond PIEPS or Saga 40 pack...
