"It's a real pack"  04/16/10

Let me preface that I've had this pack for a short time and it's seen limited use. Thus far: It carries all I need for a day playing in the hills, and then some. Alpinisto=Alpine environment. This is NOT a lightweight, skip along the paved trails kind of pack. It's designed to be used and abused. If you want an extremely lightweight pack to carry your frisby and bagel, look elsewhere. Solid tool holders, very good load compression.The suspension system allows a full range of motion without a lot of pack movement. While I've not used the packs' ability to shed weight by removing components, I appreciate the ability. Good snow collar. Top loading (what you need in the hills).
