The Slurpin Bowl by Granite Gear. We designed our dog bowls to look and perform like traditional dog bowls. The circular shape tapers inward, stabilizing the outer walls when the bowl is filled.
Slurpin' Water Bowl is a collapsible and lightweight dog bowl. Simply fill with water and it will take on its bowl shape. When your dog is hydrated just empty and stuff it in his/her pack!.

"Perfect for space saving" 09/27/11
Before I got these bowls for my canine companions, I was annoyed with taking their stainless steel vessels camping and hiking. They always seemed to nessle next to whatever else was in my bag that could make the MOST noise while walking. But fear not! These bowls saved the day! They fold up small, are easy to clean, and hold enough food and water for my 2 pups to share. I think they like them too. But there aren't a lot of things they don't like....

Mostly fed my dog on the snow as he was limited to homemade chicken jerky - wet food was too heavy, considering he was carrying his own supplies. Wanted this bowl to squirt water in from his hydration pack so none was wasted but it LEAKED! Luckily there was plenty of streams from snow melt but what about next time? Not a fan.

My doberman loves this bowl... lots easier to carry around than the old solid bowl and she doesn't waste as much as she the alteranative: pouring water out of our bottle into her mouth. We keep one in the car for traveling as well as carry one when we go adventuring. Works good watering and for feeding time, then we roll it up and put it in the dogs pack and she can carry her own bowl. A must for dog owners on the go.

I take my dog hiking and camping with me, and use this bowl several times a week. It's light, easily packable, and can be washed & hung to dry. Great stuff.I would strongly suggest ordering a size down from what you'd typically consider "dog sizes". I have an 80lb German Shepherd, and she can fit her entire head into the medium size bowl. I ordered the 'large' grrrub bowl and the 'medium' size water dish, and could easily have used a medium size in both. The large food bowl holds more than enough for a weekend excursion. It's enormous!Unless you have a giant breed (Dane, etc) the large bowl is probably overkill. Great product though!
"Buy it, its rugged!" 05/18/08
My wife and I were looking for a bowl we could take with us on our geocaching/hiking trips we usually take w/ out dog. The problem is, we didn't want to lug around some huge monstrosity of a thing so we looked around and thought we would try this bowl we found at Moosejaw. We really really like it because you can fold it up to the size of a pack of kleenex and throw it in a backpack with ease. Our dog is hydrated and we recommend this bowl because its light, easy to tuck away, and water tight!
