The Granite Gear Portage Backpack is a school backpack for lugging your books around campus. Starting with high density foam in the shoulder harness and a fully padded backpanel, it sets the tone and adds plenty of cushion to drag your computer and texts from place to place. The pack itself is constructed with Repealaweave fabric and a Taurpalite bottom which provides weather resistance for the drab days of rain or snow. The main compartment opens wide for texts, lunch, an extra layer and the Gear Tech computer sleeve, fitting up to 15.5" laptops. The second compartment is a bit smaller, for things such as snacks, pens, pencils, and keys. The very front pocket has a Barrier zipper (water-resistant) and is tricot lined to protect MP3 player and/or smartphone from scratches. Outside of the pack the dual mesh pockets hold onto water bottles and the bungee cord can secure your jacket or long sleeve when the sun comes out to play.
So sorry, but only 4 items are allowed for comparison, so we're comparing the first 4. I blame the gnomes and so should you.
