Finally a bowl large enough for my backcountry mastiff!I have a 120lbs mastiff puppy who is an avid hiker. I could not find a bowl big enough for his appetite or his big muzzle. This bowl hold about 30 cups of food and it's really light weight! It's water resistant - great for setting in mud. I wish it closed a more snug or tied shut. Occasionally kibble pops out. It would not be good for small kibble. I plan on getting another for longer excursions.

Great bowlThis bowl is great for packing in dog food on trips and as a water bowl upon arrival. ,,,,My one piece of advice is to go smaller than larger. The large bowl, when full, is way more food than our dog (80lbs golden) will ever eat during three days in the woods.

Eventually your dog will be hungry.Eventually your dog will be hungry and you better have food so it wont eat you. You can easily eliminate the need to carry dog food AND a bowl to put it in. Your dog will thank you. The small is perfect for a long weekend with a Boston Terrier size dog.

me likeythis is ok. it will work. i dont see myself ever using the extending part of the bowl to draw cord in the leftover food, but i like to fold it in to stablize the base of the bowl. the stake loop is a nice touch.
