"Great protection from hot ground!" 03/16/11
I got these for my dog because I live in an EXTREMELY hot place... I tried to take my pup (black lab) for a walk once in the summer (around 4pm) and the ground was so hot that after only a few steps, she was limping and I had to bring her back inside where she wimpered about her feel for the rest of the day. And she's normally a really tough dog! I found these in a store and thought I would give them a try. She didn't like them at first and wouldn't move, but after a while she wasn't bothered by them and was able to go for afternoon walks without burning her feet! We've used them at the river and on hikes too.

They look great, and I'm sure they would be comfortable, but my dog always tries to get them off. He's kind of a spaz, so I wouldn't worry about it. They're still great dog booties and the ankle strap should keep them on if your dog is calm and well-trained.

Normally I wouldn't make my manly pitbull wear such things, but he skinned his feet like a genius and needed something to protect them from the steaming pavement. These did the trick. I made him wear them with socks of course. Order 2 sets . . . then you have enough for all four feet . . . unless your dog only has two feet. (I didn't want to offend anyone)

These booties are a good idea but need some improving on. They are too short and don't stay on my goldens feet when walking in deep snow.She tends to get a build up of snow in her pads from that so we thought these booties would solve the problem.

I found it rather strange that the Granite Gear Endurance Dog Booties only come in sets of two. Especially considering that most dogs have 4 legs. :) It would be a good thing to mention in the description of the item so people know to double their order and that the price listed will only get half the job done.
