Backcountry Recharging StationHeaded out to the wilderness for awhile or car camping across america? This little solar panel can recharge headlamps, lanterns or if you need to tweet in the wild, your iphone! It is lightweight and fairly small and does a decent job. The rechargeable batteries tend to wear out after a certain amount of use, but I guess it is better than nothing! We leave it set up in camp or on the dash of the car to soak in rays and come back in the evening to full power! I have heard people say you can fry electronics, but I guess just use common sense and don't try and plug in your phone to the battery pack while it is connected to the solar panel. We have not had any bad luck yet! It serves its function well for small electronics, but if you had a group that had 3-4 iphones, you might need two.
