Well, it's a battery.You may not think you can say much that's exciting about a battery, and you'd be mostly right. There are some things to note about this one, though. You can charge it separately from the camera, which isn't the case with the GoPro internal battery. And it's got a couple of nice little indicators (LCD and LED). On the downside, it doesn't have an expansion connector (like that on the camera) on the back, so you can't stack the LCD touchscreen back onto it. And it apparently makes the camera too heavy to use with the floaty case back (although I haven't actually tried - Moosejaw didn't carry the floaty back when I bought my GoPro last summer).
