"Great size and weight for light backpackers or the family sherpa's daypack" 		          09/11/09
This was one of my first steps toward becoming a much lighter packer. It's very diff. than packing in my old LoweAlpine, but it weighs about 1/3 when empty. The "roll top" description doesn't seem quite right; I was thinking more along the lines of a dry-bag, but it's actually just a draw cord-they tell me if you have extra you can "roll" it down and secure it with the strap and buckle. Not what I was expecting, but it works fine. The pack feels good, even with more weight than I probably should have been carrying (30 lb.). An odd thing is the rounding-out of the back panel when using a hyd. bag, since the frame is only a foam pad, but I'll take it for the great weight of this pack.
