"A good day hike and light backpacking shoe for wet weather" 		          06/12/08
Finally, a roomy toe box! These are very sturdy hiking shoes with excellent ankle support. Very comfortable right out of the box. I have a hard foot to fit -- wide forefoot, high arch and a narrow heel. I do get some heel slippage in these which is a problem in almost all shoes I buy. For those with low volume feet, an extra insole comes included. My only compaint is that the sole does not have much of an instep so if you choose to wear gaiters be warned there isn't much room there for your strap.

These shoes are super! They are actually kinda padded, which makes them very supportive. They have enough room that your toes don't feel squished, and the grip is excellent. But beware, they run a size big!

"I'm glad I bought'em!" 		          11/20/06
I REALLY DO LIKE THEM! A LITTLE TOO ROOMY AT FIRST, SO I NEEDED THE SOLE-BLOCKEDKEYWORDTO TAKE UP SPACE. NOW THEY'RE A LITTLE SNUG, BUT THEY'RE BREAKING IN. GREAT ON THE TRAIL, ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN & MUD FOR KEEPING MY FEET DRY. BUT ON SLICK ROCK, EVEN SMOOTH DRY ROCK, THE GRIP OF THE SOLE LEAVES ABIT TO BE DESIRED. A LITTLE MORE TRACTION AND THEY WOULD BE PERFECT. I WEAR THEM TO WORK TOO AND AFTER A 10 HOUR DAY, MY FEET STILL FEEL GOOD. ALL IN ALL, ITS A GOOD SHOE AND WORTH THE MONEY.

Hey guys I just love my garmont eclipse they are the greatest,they feel so great on my feet, I wish other peoples feet felted as great as mine when I wear my eclipse, I feel that everything is possable with my eclipse on, and my feet thank me everytime I wear them,and when I take them off they always give me a hard time about it, but I say guys give me a break I need to shower and get some sleep for tommrow is a new day and a new path to walk. What more can I say I love all al items I get at MOOSEJAW,and so do grandkids and my daughter, well ttyl,tc, sys.<BR> Carol........
