The Garmont Vetta Lite Gore-Tex Hiking Boot is an approach/climbing hybrid that moves in at speed, can haul your rack with confidence, climbs moderate grade with mobility, and then treks out with a rolling gait and ankle-saving stability. The Vetta Lite boot features a Gore-Tex XCR lining to keep feet dry, a Vibram friction sole for killer grip on tricky terrains, and a 1.6 mm suede leather upper that performs well, and looks awesome while doing so.

If you haven't heard of GORE-TEX by now, you've probably been living under a rock. And that would make sense, because living under a rock is probably the only place where you wouldn't need the durable waterproof and windproof protection that GORE-TEX fabrics offer. So when you're ready to venture out from under your rock, arm yourself with the comfortable protection of GORE-TEX.

Loved this boot while it lasted, but it didn't last long.I have had this boot for 2 years (my version is red) and have used it sparingly as i was trying to preserve the boot as long as I could. I bought this boot for class 3, 4 and low 5th peak climbs in the San Juans of SW Colorado. I have probably worn the boots less than 20x. Last weekend both boots came apart and split open on the sides where the lower suede attaches to the upper, or in this picture, where the blue suede attaches to the upper gray. Both boots split at nearly the same time and splayed open... I had to duct tape the boots together to complete the climb. Durability sucks, don't buy these boots.

Very comfortableI have really flat feet and these boots are awesome. Really good ankle support and very comfortable. The size was just right so that I can wear warm wool socks.
