Good shoe, stands up to alot of abuseI got the Sticky Lizards to replace a pair of La Sportiva Raptor GTX shoes that I had been hiking in and reduced to tatters. I have some good thoughts and some not-so-good thoughts:,,,,The good thoughts get to go first. The Sticky Lizards are very comfortable, and offer a balance of stiffness and flexibility that I found to be near perfect for just about every walking surface. The sole has seemed pretty durable so far, but remains soft and sticky on rock. I've climbed up to 5.6 in these shoes and felt pretty good about how they performed. The heel welt allowed them to work pretty well with crampons in softish snow, but I wouldn't take them on anything harder than spring mush. They seem pretty durable so far after ~400 mls.,,,,Other thoughts: the shape of the heel cup is such that I tend to develop some blisters after ~10 miles in them. Might just be the shape of my foot, I guess. I tried to seam-seal the stitching and treat the leather to get a little waterproofness... alas, no luck.
