EDCBought this watch to wear while lifeguarding and right away noticed that when left facing upwards in the sun water condensed in the screen from the temperature change so I took to wearing this watch on the underside of my wrist with no problems since. I ruined a similar watch with aerosolized sunscreen, so I have been careful to remove this watch when applying such products. The plastic construction around the face gets nicked and scratched fairly easily, especially if worn on the underside of the wrist, but abrasive surfaces abound near pools and lakes where i wear this so it is hit often. The watch face itself is quite a bit harder than the frame, but I've managed to put a few lines in it anyway, no doubt from scraping on rocks. The blue swimmer on the face was worn off in a matter of weeks. The top right button is the light activation and when activated it looks like reverses the colors on the face, making lighter numbers and letters on a black background. I have used the light to check the time when in murky lake water 10ft deep and the contrast change is easy to read. It won't stay pretty if you're rough with it, but it'll get the job done.
