Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it if you are sick of carrying your phone! I waffled on buying this gear for several days before I took the plunge. Yes this is a very expensive piece of gear, but it has all of the features that make this an every day item. Firstly, this watch is very stylish and I do wear it every day. It is nice to always have it so that when I want to cruise out for a run during lunch I am ready to go. This watch syncs with the satellites very quickly. I am able to get all sorts of relevant info to crunch my running data. It also syncs with myfitnesspal and also mapmyrun. Garmin connect is super awesome too. I love this and it was well worth the investment if you are serious about becoming a better runner, hiker, and robot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My MIL loves it I bought this watch as a gift to my mother-in-law for watching my kid as often as she does. She has been a runner for a long time and always hopped in her car after a new run to map out the distance. This woman is not the type of person to use advanced features so she did not need an Ambit2 like I have. This watch also has a big, bold face that would be hard to misinterpret. She wanted a basic model that will tell her how far she ran and in what time. This watch does a bunch more than that but she doesn’t care. She tells me that it works well in showing her how far she ran and in what amount of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best decision I've made. I've been running for a couple of years, and I had always used the free GPS apps on my phone to track my runs. Now that I'm training for and running half marathons, I finally broke down and got a Garmin to try and conserve my battery life on my phone. This thing is a life saver! It's not just any GPS watch. Not only is the battery life phenomenal and allow for full marathon training, which I hope to work up to, but it also has a vibration option for interval running. The lower models only beep! I'm in love!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and worth the money compared to other GPS running watches out there First off, let me start by saying I had been using mapmyrun and runkeeper to track my runs. My problem was that it ate my phone's battery and memory as I used my phone to also listen to music.,,,,This watch is awesome as it can connect via Bluetooth to sync to the app on your phone. No more cords! If you compare other GPS watches out there at this prize point this one is have the most bang to the buck. ,,,,I used to have the Garmin Forerunner from about 4 years ago. It used to take a good 3 minutes to locale satellites. This takes 5 seconds max. It connected to satellites instantateously. It also has an autopause mode if you stop moving for a while.,,,,Other pluses is that this watch is comfortable. I have big wrists, but it was comfy and stylish.,,,,The screen is also nice as it is in color.,,,,I highly recommend this watch!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid watch for training and racing up to marathon level After a long break from running, I started again last year hardcore. The GPS and free AP was no longer going to do. Running with a cell phone is too bulky and I've found that wearing arm bands for my cell lead to back aches. This watch does what it needs to do. Easy to get the instant info you need...pace, miles, and HR. When using the HR band, I found that the readings aren't always accurate because of my chest shape, but applying medical lube/ultrasound goo made a huge difference to improve the reliability. Signal acquisition varies, but it seems to be improving with the subsequent updates. I'm sad to report that Garmin is behind the trend towards Android. Fully supported by Apple, you'll have a difficult time paring this beauty to a ton of Android phones. Sync is easy after the first setup. Charging is fast and the internal memory seems to be sufficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better any stupid app GPS seems to be much more accurate than apps like Map my Run. I love that it beeps and vibrates every time I finish another mile. Additionally, it gives a visual message letting you know your time for that mile. I change my shoes mid-run, so I found the auto pause feature super helpful. Love this watch, so far, I'm thrilled with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable and user-friendly GPS watch This is my first GPS running watch and I have been extremely happy with its ease of use and quick start-up/set-up. It connects quickly to satellites and keeps quite accurate distances (obviously slightly less accurate in trails or going under bridges, but you still generally get a correct reading).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - just what I needed Great - much better than the Forerunner 10 that I had. This one has a replaceable band - that is what broke on my old one. I would say buy this one! This one is easy to use and works great!
