"Disappointing... Water RESISTANT, not water proof" 12/21/12

I just tested it in 50 degee temps, heavy, wind driven rain. The cape soaked through in the sleeves and shoulders, which is why I rated this disappointing. Apparently you can buy Greenland Wax to waterproof it. I may try it, or I may return this.The pluses: it's light, has a roomy front pocked and a gusseted neck, which neither rain nor wind penetrated The insulation is light enough to make this a three season coat, four with supplemental insulation in winter. The minuses: water resistant at best. The grey is so dark, I would classify it as BLACK. I would love to see reflectors on this cape; if you're out in low light, you're going to disappear.

"Awesome" 11/03/12

This cape is great. Fur on hood is faux, but not crappy looking. Fjallraven says this is for women but it is in fact modeled on garments worn by bad-ass male Saami reindeer herders who would probably cook you for lunch and serve you on a rye krisp if you pointed that out. Two points to keep in mind: One, the front zip does not run the entire length, only partway down the chest. This is good for warmth and wind-stopping but makes putting it on a slight production. Two, you can't wear a shoulder bag with this cape since your arms are under it, you must have a hand-held purse. That's probably what the reindeer herders have to do with their purses, too.
