The Fjallraven Foldsack No. 2 is a messenger bag for school or work. The bag is made with a combination of fabrics, G-1000HD and G1000 Lite, providing a strong, durable construction that won't weigh you down. The single flap opens wide to reveal a wide opening complete with laptop sleeve for up to 14 inch computers with a padded bottom for safety. The water-resistant pack is wider than it is tall and allows you to carry it like a messenger bag via shoulder strap, or convert the straps for carrying as a backpack. Versatile for your ever-changing mood. The metal buckles are sturdy, securing the lid down when traveling from bus to school or office. The side pockets secure a water bottle or snacks, accessible without having to open the lid. Beware of nearby hungry and thirsty friends.

This bag is awesomesauceThis bag...this is the ONE. I shopped around for months but had a hard time finding a messenger bag that hit all the high notes. I commute on a scooter or bicycle, so for me, the top criteria were 1) a stabilizer strap and 2) some amount of waterproofing, and 3) not hella expensive (under $150). Being a rather well-endowed lady, the stabilizer strap is especially important to get right. On the Fjallraven, it is adjustable, so I can move it up or down to fit nicely without interfering with any ladyparts. You can also remove it altogether. The buckle system is super easy and stable, there are no parts to break and they are very secure. The size of this bag is perfect, I typically carry a lunch box, raincoat or sweater, kindle, magazines, small camera and other odds and ends with room to spare. There are just enough pockets for usability but not enough to 'lose' things in the bag. And did I mention how lovely the navy blue color is?

carry all the things! The fox patch and classic stylin' will make you look more interesting than you are.The two water bottle pockets show that these Swedes really get me. Seems very durable, and it can hold all my daily necessities: giant brick of a laptop, lunch, clothes, and a small clan of Scottish hedgehogs. I got the Lake Blue because I usually get olive drab stuff and wanted to change it up: PRO it's a super pretty color, CON it shows dirt way easy. This is why I like olive stuff, so basically my color choice here will be a regret I carry to my grave. (I thought about getting Uncle Blue but what does that even mean?)
P.S. Don't miss the small Swedish flag they snuck on the back.Just something to know if, like me, you still think Pia Sundhage is kind of a jerk. I mean I'd still buy the bag cuz the rest of Sweden is cool, but make an informed choice

Perfect for urban travelerI ride public transit and bicycle every day and this bag is exactly what I was looking for. Not too bulky, but still roomy enough for everything I need. Not too flashy, but still stylish in a subtle way. I love the strong hooks and zippers for good security in crowded environments.

Great shoulder bagThis bag is the perfect size--I can fit my Macbook, a binder, and a few notebooks inside . There are several pockets so everything doesn't smash together. The quality of this bag is fantastic--it will last forever and the material keeps everything dry through the snow and rain.

Great commuter bag!I bought this to lug all my stuff to work, to the gym, and back home again on all public transportation (plus Divvy bikes, if those count). It keeps the elements out, keeps my stuff in (and secure), and looks good!
