Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good material, good heel, good edge I bought my shoes 8 months ago. I climb four days/week and they just developed a hole in the toe area....yet, the shoes still work like they did when I bought them. They have barely expanded (which is awesome), the heel is awesome for heel hooking and there is still a great edge on them. I'm looking for a new pair of shoes, but I'm thinking about getting the Anasazis again because they are just that great. If these fit your feet, buy them, you will not regret it. Buy them a little tight, but not unbearable, because they may not expand all that much. They have a lining, unlike some other shoes with leather, which makes them more resistant to expansion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe, great fit, great colour I've been swearing by the Anasazi LV's for a while and they haven't let me down. I've found that they fit great around my heel which I love because I'm a short ass and will try and heel hook anything I can find, including and not limited to crimps, trees, side pulls and disco ledges. I have a wider foot and Katanas just don't seem to get me. The one gripe I have about this shoe is that the rubber (as awesome as it is and sticks like s*** to a blanket) wears too quickly and I find myself losing the edge quicker than I'd like. Though keep a pair for sending and another pair for gym and warm ups. Until I find better, I'll stick to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable and grasps on well! Such high quality and most of all, super comfortable wear! I'm still new to climbing, but wanted to get the best shoe out there to start with. There is a variety of great climbing shoes by multiple brands, but they all did not fit well and caused pain even just trying them on. This shoe fit snug and the rubber on this smears really well to the surface. Love the color and looks of the shoe too! Highly recommended!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Climbing Shoes! This is the first pair of shoes I've bought and I'm very pleased! They fit very well and the straps help get the right level of tightness. I had to go up one size from my street shoes to make sure they weren't too small. I can definitely tell a difference between these shoes and the rental shoes I used to use! Overall, very good shoe and would highly recommend these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sizing I wear street shoe size 6.5-7 and the anasazi fits true to size. Do not size down or you will be in pain! The size 8 I first bought was very tight at first but now it's a bit too loose, especially around the heel. I would go with size 7 next time. Great shoe, very sticky rubber. Not as good for bouldering, but versatile for everything else!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my climbing shoe When I first bought this I was generally new to climbing so it was a very very nice beginners shoe for someone who didn't really know what they were doing yet. Just to emphasize the fact that I didn't know what I was doing, I returned the shoes three times because it was so painful to be in and Moosejaw was real good about it. But climbing shoes are supposed to feel that way and for a long time I dreaded even putting them on and regretted buying them because they were a little on the expensive side and I was tired of returning them. So they gathered dust for a long while until I started climbing more and decided to just deal with them. After about 12 climbs they really softened up and I actually find them comfy now. It is completely worth the money and I absolutely love this shoe and it is my climbing shoe hands down. I got a pair of lace ups for some trad climbing and they were comfortable from the get go but the lacing and unlacing is a pain. Love this shoe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Climbing Shoe for all climbs I bought these shoes for my wife for christmas and she loves them. Her foot is comfortable in them for long periods of time and they work great in almost every situation from cave climbing to slabs. Rubber is sticky and holds well on our granite out here at E Rock!

I currently have red chili spirit vcr shoes - they fit my wide across the toes/narrow heels perfectly, but I'm looking for a more technical shoe, that has better smearing capabilities. From reviews, it seems like the Anasazi LV might fit? Any ideas?

Asked by: svantwes
Hiya Svantwes, thanks for your question! The Anasazi LV is one of the better rock shoes out there for smearing. Other options to check out are the Evolv Shaman, La Sportiva Miura VS, and the Five Ten Anasazi VCS (see links below). In terms of size, a more technical shoe will lose comfort for quality... so that is always something to consider.
