The Piton by Five Ten is perfect for technical, multi-pitch routes. Described by the world’s best traditional climbers as having “the best crack toe” available. The lined-leather shoe is comfortable right out of the box, with a midsole that is supportive for wide cracks, with excellent sensitivity for face moves. The Stealth toe sheath provides superior protection and friction. Soles are Stealth ONYXX, the highest friction, most durable rubber available. |

"Fits very few feet....fits mine great. Love the shoe too." |
05/11/09 |
| I am one that goes more towards fit than performance. I went everywhere trying on shoe after shoe for a good fit. This is the ONLY shoe I found that fit me perfectly(snug with no dead space) out of ~ 20 I tried. I have a larger wide foot (~12-13). Sizing runs large. I run a 10.5 in this shoe. I never buy anything under a 12 in anything else...interesting. The heel pad is a nice touch for the long belay station waits...and I actually like the puke color. | |

"Great Climbing Shoe !!" |
12/17/08 |
| Great shoe, the size it´s a little bit larger than i expected. I had a Piton 8.0 ´cause my other Five Ten Verdi 7.5 impossible for me to use on a multi pinch route, so buy a piton a half size smaller in my opinion! Even so great shoe, and get a little bit hot in places like Rio de janeiro ´cause on the rubber on too of my toes .. Great Job FIVE TEN ! | |

"I'm very happy." |

| I just got them so it's tough to say how they will work in the long run, but I like them a lot. They fit well but need to be 'broken in' some, especially in the heel area. They are very precise on edging, but they are suppose to be great for cracks and I haven't tried them out yet on cracks. They are great so far and I believe that they will preform very well on cracks too. | |

"very nice - make babies" |

| Great shoes! Fit really well into all sorts of cracks. Unlike the mythos, these shoes are very durable for crack climbing. I want to make babies with my 5.10 pitons. | |

| Great shoe. Jams excellent, and the Onyx sticks on slab. Great trad shoe. Performed well on Cathedral Peak and Royal Arches right out of the box. | |
